Walt Disney Logo

Animation is the transformation of still images turned into motion by constantly parading the stills, one after another. Through creativity, dedication and technology, this form of art can be advanced to great limits and even beyond imagination.
Co-founded by Walter Elias Disney, the Walt Disney Company today has branched out to various entertainment studios, theme parks, products and other media productions with an annual revenue of approximately US $30 billion’.
Walt Disney Castle LogoThe Walt Disney logo, like the company, has served as a beacon for decent family entertainment and worldwide recognition. The Walt Disney logo is a ‘stylized version of the founder’s signature’ that signifies the brand name and promises secure, cheerful and quality American mainstream entertainment.
Other than the regular logo, the company uses different logos on its different products. A castle on a blue background version of the Walt Disney logo is used for the movie releases and as the curtain-raiser to its films.
Walt Disney World LogoSimilarly, the Walt Disney signature with “World” added to it is used for the company’s resorts "Walt Disney World Resort", a Mickey’s head is adopted for the company’s Mickey Mouse Club and “Studios” was added to the Walt Disney logo signifying Disney Studios around the world.
The original Walt Disney logo, to a large extent, has retained its uniqueness, however, over the time, different animations and styles were introduced in the Walt Disney logo to complement the entertainment quality and the technological breakthroughs of the era. No doubt, the Walt Disney logo has branded the company.

The Story about Toy Story 3

Toy story 3 is the third film of the Toy story series. The film is produced by Pixar Animation studios and released worldwide by Walt Disney Pictures. Lee Unkrich has directed the film. The plot of Toy Story 3 has been discussed here.

Seventeen years old Andy has now outgrown his toys and is preparing to move to college. However, Woody is still Andy’s favorite toy and Andy decides to take Woody with him and packs the other toys in a garbage bag to keep them in the attic. Andy’s mom mistakenly puts the bag on the curb where they are almost picked by garbage truck driven by Sid. The toys think Andy no longer wants them and so they sneak into a box to be donated to Sunnyside Daycare center. Woody tries to clear the misunderstanding but the toys refuse to believe him.

At Sunnyside, the toys are cordially welcomed from the old toys there, especially from Lots-O-huggin bear or Lotso. The other toys at Sunnyside include a Ken doll and a baby doll toy called Big Baby. Lotso assigns the toys the “caterpillar room” .Meanwhile, Woody tries to convince the toys to return to Andy, but the toys decide they are happier at the daycare center. Therefore, Woody leaves without them to meet Andy.
At the Sunnyside daycare center the other toys discover that they are in the hands of young and unruly toddlers who play roughly with the innocent toys. Buzz goes to ask Lotso to get transferred to the “butterfly room”, but is instead caught by other Sunnyside toys and fails in his mission. Buzz is reset to his original space ranger self by the Lotso gang and he forgets his friends. Buzz now works for Lotso.
Meanwhile, Woody is picked up by a girl named Bonnie as he escapes Sunnyside. Bonnie takes Woody home where he meets with other toys of Bonnie. The other toys at Bonnie’s home are Pricklepants, Trixie, Buttercup, Totoro, Peas-in-a-pod and Chuckles the clown. Chuckles informs Woody that Sunnyside is a toy prison run by Lotso, who snapped after his owner lost and replaced him with another Lotso. Lotso had run away from home and taken over Sunnyside with Big baby as his chief accomplice. Lotso forces other toys to stay in the caterpillar room so that he and his accomplices never have to deal with the unruly children of the caterpillar room.

At the same time, Mrs Potato head sees through her missing eye (that was lost in Andy’s room) that Andy still wants them and is looking for them. Realizing that they have misjudged Andy, the toys try to escape Sunnyside, but are imprisoned by Lotso and his accomplices, including the reset Buzz.
Woody returns to Sunnyside to rescue his friends. The toys use a garbage chute to escape but Lotso and his henchmen catch them escaping. Woody becomes able to convince the other toys of Lorso’s treachery, so big baby throws Lotso in a dumpster. Lotso, in his vengeance pull all the toys to the garbage bin to be picked up by a garbage truck, In this confusion, Buzz returns to his normal self. The garbage truck takes them to be a conveyor belt where they are put in front of a shredder and an incinerator. Although Woody and Buzz rescues Lotso from the shredder, Lotso tries to kill the toys by not pressing the emergency stop button to the incinerator. The toys become ready to die, but at the last moment a giant claw crane operated by squeeze toy aliens saves them. Lotso is picked up by a garbage man.

The toys return to Andy’s room. Woody scribbles a note on the ‘attic box’, telling Andy to donate the toys to Bonnie. Andy plays for a last time with the toys and donate them to Bonnie. The toys are happy with Bonnie.

History about Disneyland

Well, Disneyland began as a Dream. A young boy with a love of trains and fantasy who lived in a rural town; grew up to be the person everyone has heard of at one time or another: Walt Disney. Yes of course, Disneyland was his dream… and then his reality. Here is how Walt Disney got his beloved Disneyland started.

In 1923 Walt Disney and his brother Roy formed Walt Disney Studios.

In the early 1950's Walt got the idea for his very own Mickey Mouse Park. While the theme park was Walt's idea (and at times Roy thought he was crazy) they went on together with the plan although Roy never hesitated to make his feelings known. Roy simply didn't trust the project and was concerned about failure. It was Roy Disney, not Walt, who was able to make a deal with ABC television (they having their own problems at the time) to show the weekly television project Disneyland which allowed them to finance Disneyland.
Disneyland opened for the press, selected friends, and some family members on July 17, 1955 but there was a long hard road of work before opening day.

Walter E. Disney grew up in Marceline Missouri with a fascination for trains. That joy and wonder turned into a larger idea. Walt Disney decided that he wanted to build a theme park and call it Disneyland. While he began thinking about this before World War II even started, plans were put on hold until well after the war was over. During these years Walt Disney never let his dream die; he just expanded that dream to encompass his love of trains and his desire for a theme park.

In 1953 the search was on for the land needed for the planned Magic Kingdom, named Disneyland; which would include a railroad track, rivers, lakes, a ride for children with flying elephants, and a beautiful castle. Walt Disney's dreams were big but he was not an incredibly wealthy man; so needed to find land to encompass his dreams at a good price and the location had to be just right.
The site for Disneyland was finally found. A 160-acre Orange Grove in Anaheim California was for sal, and the price was something Walt Disney could afford. Unable to get financing because bankers don't finance dreams, Mr. Disney had to come up with alternate plan to help him make this dream possible. It was then that Walt turned to television. Using his new show 'Walt Disney's Disneyland' was a great way to showcase his plans and dreams for the future; at the same time getting financial support to make the dreams come true.
Now that things were coming together for Walt it was time the begin construction. July 21, 1954 as the start of the construction on what the world now knows as Disneyland.
After working nonstop for a year and dealing with setbacks such as a colorblind worker told to remove only the trees with red ribbons, long hours, and the California heat, finally Disneyland was ready to open.

The Story about Beauty and The Beast

Belle (voice of Paige O'Hara) is the most beautiful girl in a provincial town in France. Unfortunately for those who might want her as a wife, including the dim, narcissistic Gaston (Richard White), she's also one of the village's oddest denizens. She keeps to herself, helping her inventor father, Maurice (Rex Everhart), with his contraptions, and, in her spare time, devouring books. She has read just about everything available in the town, and eagerly awaits the arrival of anything new. Every time she ventures outdoors, she draws stares and snickers, but, despite her strangeness, Gaston is determined to marry her.

Then, one fateful day, her father disappears in the forest. Belle goes searching for him and stumbles upon a dark and scary castle. Venturing inside, she discovers a gallery of magical creatures – regular household objects that speak and move. There's Lumiere (Jerry Orbach), a candlestick with impeccable manners and an voice that recalls Maurice Chevalier; Cogsworth (David Ogden Stiers), a clock with a high impression of himself and his role in the castle; Mrs. Potts (Angela Lansbury), a grandmotherly tea pot; and many others. Then there's the Beast (Robby Benson), the terrifying creature who rules over this domain and holds Maurice captive. Once a handsome prince, he has been cursed to remain a beast until he finds someone who truly loves him in spite of his appearance. Now, he is filled with equal parts hope and dread at Belle's arrival -- hope that she might be "the one" to break the spell, and dread that she might be repulsed by his ugliness. Nevertheless, he agrees to release her father if she accedes to being his permanent guest. She makes the bargain, Maurice is set free, and she is trapped. In time, however, Belle discovers that life in the castle is not as dreadful as it initially seems.

As a romance, Beauty and the Beast is a delightful confection, creating a pair of memorable, three-dimensional characters and giving us reason to root for their union. Belle is strong-willed, independent, and smart. The animators have taken pains to make her features more flexible than those of any previous Disney heroine, and her face displays a wide range of expressions: anger, concern, contempt, contrition, fear, joy, sadness, sarcasm, skepticism, and wonder. The Beast, despite his frightening appearance, isn't as terrible as he first appears. Inside of him beats the heart of a true hero, and, in an act of self-sacrifice when he risks his life for Belle, he displays his true nature.

The Story about Ratatouille

Rémy (Patton Oswalt) lives in a rat colony in the attic of a French country home with his brother Émile (Peter Sohn) and his father Django (Brian Dennehy). Unlike his kin, Rémy is a gourmet whose keen sense of smell is used by the colony only to detect rat poison in food. But Rémy yearns for more, sneaking into the kitchen to read the cookbook of his hero, Parisian chef Auguste Gusteau (Brad Garrett), who appears to Rémy in visions throughout the film to expound on his motto that “anyone can cook.” Rémy learns that Gusteau died after a harsh review from mean-spirited food critic Anton Ego (Peter O’Toole).

The rats flee the house when the resident, an old woman, discovers the colony. Rémy, separated from the others, floats in the storm drains to Paris on Gusteau’s cookbook, following the chef’s image to his namesake restaurant, now run by former sous-chef Skinner (Ian Holm). As Rémy watches from a kitchen skylight, Alfredo Linguini (Lou Romano), a young man with no culinary talent, arrives and is hired on at the request of his recently deceased mother to do janitorial duties. The boy, unknown to all but his mother, is in fact Gusteau’s son. Linguini spills a pot of soup and attempts to cover up his mistake by adding nearby random ingredients. Horrified by Linguini’s actions, Rémy falls into the kitchen and though desperately trying to escape, cannot help but stop and attempt to fix the ruined soup. Rémy is caught in the act by Linguini, who himself is caught by Skinner as he captures the rat, but not before some of the soup has been served. To everyone’s surprise the soup is a success. The kitchen’s sole woman cook, Colette (Janeane Garofalo), convinces Skinner not to fire Linguini provided he can recreate the soup. And thus begins an alliance, uneasy at first, by which Rémy secretly directs Linguini. The two perfect a marionette-like arrangement by which Rémy tugs at Linguini’s hair to control his movements and stays hidden under Linguini’s toque blanche.

Skinner discovers that Linguini is Gusteau’s son, which he hides to prevent Linguini from inheriting the restaurant, which would thwart his ambitions of exploiting Gusteau’s image to market prepared frozen dinners. Suspicious of Linguini, Skinner plies him with fine wine in an unsuccessful attempt to discover the secret of his unexpected talents. The next morning, hung over and disheveled, Linguini nearly confides his secret to Colette. Desperately trying to stop Linguini, Rémy pulls his hair, making him fall on Colette, leading the two to kiss. They begin dating, leaving Rémy feeling abandoned.

One night Rémy and his colony are reunited. Rémy argues with Emile and his father over his new career as a secret chef. In the process of scrounging food for the clan Rémy discovers Gusteau’s will which, after a chase by Skinner, he presents to Linguini. Linguini now owns the restaurant, fires Skinner, and becomes a rising star in the culinary world, attracting renewed interest from Anton Ego, who had written off the restaurant for dead. Linguini and Rémy have a falling out, Linguini deciding he no longer needs Rémy, and Rémy retaliating to the snub by leading a kitchen raid for his rat colony.

Things come to a head the night of a planned review by Ego. Linguini, unable to cook without the rat’s guidance, admits his ruse to the staff when Remy shows up, leading them all to walk out. Colette returns after thinking through Gusteau’s motto. Django, inspired by his son’s courage, returns with the entire rat colony to cook under Rémy’s direction, while Linguini, discovering his true talent, waits tables on roller skates. Colette helps Rémy prepare ratatouille, a dish so good that, in the climax of the film, a bite of the dish leads Ego to relive childhood memories of his mother serving him the dish as comfort food. Ego asks to meet the chef, but Colette tells him he must wait until the rest of the diners have left. At the end of the service, Rémy and the ratr are revealed. A changed man, Ego writes a glowing review, declaring that the chef at Gusteau’s is the greatest chef in all of France.

In the denouement the restaurant is closed by a health inspector, who finds the rats after being tipped off by Skinner. Ego loses his credibility and job when the public discovers he has praised a rat-infested restaurant. Everything is for the best, however. With Ego as investor and regular patron, Linguini, Colette, and Rémy open a successful new bistro called “La Ratatouille,” which includes a kitchen and dining facilities for both rats and humans.

Rapunzel: A Tangled Tale

It is almost hard to believe that Disney has taken so long to get around to making their version of Rapunzel. However, it is a good thing they did. It is truly amazing what Disney can do in this day and age with an animation. “Tangled” shows just how Disney’s animation is only getting better, with or without Pixar. “Tangled” is just beautiful to watch and completely entertaining at the same time. As the Rapunzel fairytale goes, the long haired, blonde beauty (Mandy Moore) is confined to the top room of the tower and unable to leave. She has been placed up there by her “mother”, who is actually an ugly, old woman, Mother Gothel (Donna Murphy) who is using the power of Rapunzel’s magic hair to keep her young. When outlaw, Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi) stumbles across the tower while on the run, his and her lives are turned upside down. With each other, they enable each other’s dreams to come true and have a great adventure while doing so.
Rapunzel is famous as the movies of our childhood. However, Walt Disney succeeded in giving a new innovation. Rapunzel is packed with the new version not only be watched by young children. But also can be watched by adults. Funny, romantic, and not boring to watch, make a film that was released on 24 November 2010 with the title Rapunzel: A Tangled Tale reach big profit.

The Story of Alice In Wonderland

Troubled by a strange recurring dream and mourning the loss of her beloved father, nineteen-year-old Alice Kingsleigh attends a garden party at Lord Ascot's estate, where she is confronted by an unwanted marriage proposal and the stifling expectations of the society in which she lives. Unsure of how to reply, and increasingly confused, she runs away to chase after a rabbit in a blue waistcoat, and accidentally falls into a large rabbit hole. She is transported to a world called Underland, where she is greeted by the White Rabbit, the Dormouse, the Dodo, and Tweedledum and Tweedledee. They argue over her identity as "the right Alice", who it is foretold will slay the Red Queen's Jabberwocky on the Frabjous Day and restore the White Queen to power. The group is then ambushed by the Bandersnatch and a group of playing-card soldiers led by the Knave of Hearts. Alice escapes and flees into the woods.

The Knave informs the Red Queen that Alice has returned to Underland and threatens her reign, and the soldiers are ordered to find Alice immediately. Meanwhile, the wandering Alice encounters the Cheshire Cat, who takes her to the March Hare and the Hatter. On the way to the White Queen's castle, Hatter relates the terror of the Red Queen's reign, and comments that Alice is not the same as she once was. The Hatter helps Alice avoid capture by allowing himself to be seized instead. Later, Alice is found by Bayard the Bloodhound, who wishes to take her to the White Queen, but Alice insists upon helping the Hatter, so they go to the Red Queen's castle.

The Red Queen is unaware of Alice's true identity and therefore welcomes her as a guest. Alice learns that the Vorpal Sword (the only weapon capable of killing the Jabberwocky) is locked away in a case inside the Bandersnatch's den. The Knave crudely attempts to seduce Alice, but she rebuffs him. She later manages to retrieve the sword and befriend the Bandersnatch. The Knave finds her with the sword and attempts to arrest her. Alice escapes on the back of the Bandersnatch and delivers the sword to the White Queen. The Cheshire Cat saves the Hatter from execution, and the Hatter calls for rebellion against the Red Queen. The rebellion is quickly put down by the Jubjub bird. The resistance flees to the White Queen's castle, and both armies prepare for battle. Alice remains unsure about the expectation for her to champion the White Queen, and meets with Absolem[5] the Caterpillar. He reminds Alice of her past visit to Underland (which she mistakenly called "Wonderland" at the time) thirteen years earlier, and helps give her the courage to fight the Jabberwocky and accomplish "What she must to do", while he becomes a pupa.

When the Frabjous Day arrives, both the White and Red Queens gather their armies on a chessboard-like battlefield and send forth their chosen champions (armor-clad Alice and the Jabberwocky respectively) to decide the fate of Underland. Encouraging herself with the words of her late father, Alice manages to kill the Jabberwocky. The White Queen then banishes the Red Queen and the Knave to the Outlands, and gives Alice a vial of the Jabberwocky’s blood, which will take her home. The Hatter suggests that she could stay in Underland, but she decides that she must go back and promises that she will return.

Alice returns home, where she stands up to her family and pledges to live life on her own terms. Impressed, Lord Ascot takes her in as his apprentice, with the idea of establishing oceanic trade routes to China. As the story closes, Alice prepares to set off on a trading ship. Absolem, now a butterfly, lands on her shoulder. Alice recognizes him and greets him before he flutters away.

The quotation above is a review of Alice in Wonderland story that the film produced by Walt Disney. The film is adapted from Lewis Carroll's stories, entitled Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The latest version of this film combines live action and animation, this version is better known for having a unique concept. The film was released March 5, 2010, and on playbackpremier, Disney film that won 75 million dollars, or about 684 billion rupiah.
The film is also one of my favorite films of the many films produced by Disney. The plot is good and interesting to watch.

Young Riders Age Accident Susceptible

Riders 16 to 24 years are more susceptible to traffic accidents, either as victims or perpetrators of the cause of the accident. Riders under the age usually less able to control emotions.
Today, a lot of accidents in Indonesia news. Many are caused by the negligence of the driver. In addition, the number of children under 17 years should not be allowed to drive a motor vehicle, is also one cause. As in Makassar a few weeks ago, which hit 15 of road users.
This is because in the age-old way of thinking is still low maturity. So also with awareness and responsibility. Moreover, they often lack an understanding of the importance of maintaining road safety.
I think this problem can be prevented with the age restriction rules in making a driver's license (SIM). Parental supervision of children who bring a motor vehicle. it would be nice if parents allow their children to bring a motor vehicle if it is old enough.Other than that to prevent accidents, the rider must also comply with existing traffic rules.
Do not drive if conditions do not support such in drowsy state, etc.. So we have reduced the number of accidents by protecting ourselves from a traffic accident.

Walt Disney Studios Animation

Animation historians love to say "It all started with a mouse". In fact it actually began with a visionary named Walt Disney.
From the early years in Kansas City with the likes of Ub Iwerks, Hugh Harmon and Rudy Ising. Walt Disney went on to become the single most important man in the history of animation. His legacy is a veritable who's who of animated characters; Snow White, Donald Duck, Pinocchio, Alice, Bambi, Cinderella, and of course, Mickey Mouse.
The Process of Animation
1. A storyboard is made, all the animators and directors come together to discuss the entire film.
2. The storyboards are presented as the story
3. Once the story is laid out, the dialogue is recorded. This is done before animation, so the animators know what the characters will say.
4. After the dialogue is recorded, the animators can make rough sketches of just the characters. Usually these drawings are quite messy, there is still no color, or background. Some animated films have used over 50,000 individual drawings.
At most animation studios, the best animators only sketched a few animation drawings, leaving gaps in between. Later on, a person called an "inbetweener" would finish the scenes, by drawing in between the areas that the animator had left.
5. Once the entire film has been drawn on paper, the animation drawings go to the inking department. There, the inkers copy the animation drawings on to a clear celluloid acetate, sometimes called a Cel.
6. After the outline of the characters has been made, the unfinished Cel's go to the Painting Department. The painters flip the Cel over, and paint the colors on the back. They paint on the back so the characters appear crisp, and have an outline.
7. Before the Animation Cels get photographed a background must be added. Because a Cel is clear, and it only has the painted character on it, if a background is made, it will show through. Usually backgrounds are painted with Tempera or Water Color paint. Although, in some Disney productions, the background was painted on glass, and combined with other glass painted backgrounds to create the illusion of extreme movement. (This technique is use in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.)
8. Now all the combined elements (the Cel and the background) can be photographed. Although, the final product is not filmed with a normal projector, or camera. A special device, with a lens mounted facing down on to a table top captures each frame of the animated feature. Usually, the background is placed into a special mount, then covered with the Cel, then covered with a large piece of glass, then photographed.
9. After all the drawings have been filmed, the dialogue is added. Sometimes the film is edited at this step.
10. The animated film is released, and the general public may view it.
